On the 27th of March year 6 visited the M&S archive in Leeds. I learnt how M&S became worldwide and that the people who made it become worldwide were called Simon Marks and Israel Sheriff, but the people who called it M&S were Mr Marks and Mr Spencer. Another interesting fact was that it wasn’t originally called M&S it was Mark’s Penny Bazaar.
After we had finished learning lots of interesting facts we did an activity which was even better. We had to make our own range of products and some part of the design hadto be inspired by M&S. My group designed sports clothing for boys aged 10-16, it was called ‘Classic V’. Overall I really enjoyed the trip and I would recommend it to anyone aged 10 and above.
